1. Information We Collect

Information you provide: When you create an account, submit a review, complete a project request, or contact us, we collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, company name, job title, and any other information you choose to provide.

Information collected automatically: When you visit our site, we automatically collect technical information including your IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, pages visited, referring URL, timestamps, and interaction data (clicks, scrolls, page views).

Information from third parties: We may receive information from authentication providers (Google, LinkedIn) when you use social sign-in, and from our payment processor (Stripe) regarding transaction status.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Platform
  • Match clients with appropriate agencies
  • Display verified reviews and agency profiles
  • Process payments and verify agency accounts
  • Send transactional communications (account confirmations, project updates, PIN verification)
  • Send marketing communications (you may opt out at any time)
  • Detect and prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
  • Generate aggregate analytics and platform usage statistics (which do not identify individual users)
  • Enforce our Terms of Service

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • With agencies you contact: When you submit a project request, your contact information and project details are shared with matched agencies.
  • Service providers: We share data with vendors who assist our operations, including hosting (Vercel), database (Supabase), payments (Stripe), email (Resend), and analytics services. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data.
  • Legal requirements: We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or when necessary to protect our rights, safety, or property.
  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred to the acquiring entity.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and at rest
  • Secure authentication with session management
  • Row-level security policies on database access
  • Rate limiting and bot detection on public endpoints
  • Regular monitoring for unauthorized access

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our services. We may retain certain data after account deletion for legitimate business purposes, including compliance with legal obligations, dispute resolution, and fraud prevention. Anonymized or aggregated data may be retained indefinitely.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable, machine-readable format
  • Opt-out: Opt out of marketing communications at any time
  • Do Not Sell / Share: We do not sell personal information. California residents may exercise rights under the CCPA by contacting us.

7. Cookies & Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies for the following purposes:

  • Essential cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and security
  • Analytics cookies: Help us understand how visitors use the Platform (page views, traffic sources, engagement metrics)
  • Preference cookies: Remember your settings and preferences

You can manage cookie preferences through your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies may impair Platform functionality.

8. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed to individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we learn that we have collected data from a child, we will delete it promptly.

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. By using the Platform, you consent to the transfer of your data to these jurisdictions, which may have different data protection standards than your home country.

10. AI Data Processing

We use artificial intelligence services, including OpenAI, to provide features such as project classification, agency matching, and search functionality. When you submit a project description or use search features, your input text may be processed by third-party AI providers to deliver results. We do not share your personal identifiable information (name, email, phone) with AI providers — only the content of your project description is transmitted for classification purposes.

AI processing occurs in real time and results are not stored by third-party providers beyond the immediate request. For more information about how our AI providers handle data, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

11. File Storage

Files uploaded through the Platform (including RFPs, project briefs, images, and documents) are stored securely on Supabase cloud infrastructure. Uploaded files are accessible to 50Pros staff and to agencies matched with your project submission. Files are retained for the duration of the project and for a reasonable period afterward for record-keeping purposes. You may request deletion of your uploaded files by contacting us at hello@50pros.com.

12. Payment Data

All payment processing is handled by Stripe, Inc. When you make a payment on the Platform, your payment card details are transmitted directly to Stripe and are never stored on 50Pros servers. We receive and store only limited payment metadata from Stripe, including: transaction amounts, dates, last four digits of your card, and payment status. This data is used for billing history, invoice generation, and customer support.

For agencies using Stripe Connect to receive payments, Stripe collects additional identity verification data as required by financial regulations. This data is governed by Stripe's privacy policy and is not stored or accessible by 50Pros.

13. Analytics & Tracking

We collect analytics data to measure platform performance and provide insights to agencies. This includes: page views, search impressions, profile clicks, website clicks, contact requests, and referrer information. Analytics data is aggregated and presented to agencies in their dashboard to help them understand their visibility and engagement.

We use Google Analytics and Sentry for platform performance monitoring. These services may collect IP addresses, browser information, and device identifiers. You can opt out of analytics tracking by declining cookies when prompted.

14. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to: (1) know what personal information we collect about you; (2) request deletion of your personal information; (3) opt out of the sale of your personal information (note: 50Pros does not sell personal information); and (4) not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. 15. European Privacy Rights (GDPR)

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA) or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including: the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and the right to object to processing. Our legal bases for processing are: contractual necessity (to provide Platform services), legitimate interests (to improve and secure the Platform), and consent (for marketing communications). 16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
